二、本课程的地位、性质和任务

《英语教学法》主要研究中、小学英语课程与教学的理论和实践，是英语师范专业的一门教师教育必修课程。通过该课程的学习，帮助学生树立正确的以人为本的教育理念和科学、新颖的教学观念，能熟练灵活地驾御多种实用的教学方法和手段，系统地学习和了解课程设计的理论和方法，掌握英语听、说、读、写的教学原则和规律，懂得应用教育理论指导学生进行创新能力和创新思维的培养和实践，有效落实《英语课程标准》理念，从而更好地适应中、小学英语教学的需要。

四、课程特色

《英语教学法》不同于其它英语课程，是一门特别突出理论与实践相结合的学科。课程在回顾英语课程与教学历史、研究语言学习和教学规律、介绍先进教学理论与方法的同时，要求学生通过听力、口语、阅读、写作、语法、词汇等微格教学实践，掌握课程与教学基本理论，灵活运用各种教学方法。因此，本课程既注重知识的传授，又强化教学能力的培养，理论与实践紧密结合，相辅相成。
