二、本课程的地位、性质和任务
《英语教学法》主要研究中、小学英语课程与教学的理论和实践,是英语师范专业的一门教师教育必修课程。通过该课程的学习,帮助学生树立正确的以人为本的教育理念和科学、新颖的教学观念,能熟练灵活地驾御多种实用的教学方法和手段,系统地学习和了解课程设计的理论和方法,掌握英语听、说、读、写的教学原则和规律,懂得应用教育理论指导学生进行创新能力和创新思维的培养和实践,有效落实《英语课程标准》理念,从而更好地适应中、小学英语教学的需要。

四、课程特色
《英语教学法》不同于其它英语课程,是一门特别突出理论与实践相结合的学科。课程在回顾英语课程与教学历史、研究语言学习和教学规律、介绍先进教学理论与方法的同时,要求学生通过听力、口语、阅读、写作、语法、词汇等微格教学实践,掌握课程与教学基本理论,灵活运用各种教学方法。因此,本课程既注重知识的传授,又强化教学能力的培养,理论与实践紧密结合,相辅相成。
